a little about me...
Any body that knows me will tell you I am complete geek. For a while I tried to deny it but, in the end... I am. I love what I do and I don't believe you can excell in the web industry without that extra passion for the job you do.
In 2000 I completed a BA (hons) in Media Studies at Swansea Institute of H.E. Some of the subjects I studied included, Art History, Advertising, Film Theory, and Visual Communications. My final dissertation was a study of the role S4C had in the rise of the animation industry in Wales. It also included a critical analysis of the animated film 'A Girls Night Out' by Joanna Quinn and 'Under Milk Wood' by Dylan Thomas and narrated by Richard Burton.
I love graffitti art (something I have tried to reflect in the design of this site) and have been a huge fan of the work of Banksy for a long time. I am also a huge fan of alternative animation so when I recently stumbled across a video on youtube that combined them both, I had to share. The amount of time taken to create this is staggering.
Outside of work I try to break away from the 'geek' stereotype and have a well rounded life. I live in a stunning part of the UK, right on the Welsh border, and go walking as often as I can (have a look at my flickr stream at the bottom of the page).
Some of my other interests include watching films, my all time favourite being Gentlemen Prefer Blondes starring Marilyn Monroe. I also like to read and my favourite author
at the moment is Kim Harrison. As well as this I enjoy socialising with friends and family.
