The Brief …

To tidy up the design of the existing Turnstone Ecology website and add the ability to content manage areas within a limited budget.

The Solution …

Turnstone Ecology, based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, already had a website design that the client was happy with but the build was not quite as they wanted. They also didn’t have any way to manage the content themselves.

After an initial meeting, it was decided that they didn’t need very much of the functionality that comes with large content management systems. So, with this in mind I suggested that the site should be rebuilt to use Perch – A really little CMS (www.grabaperch.com).

Perch is a fantastic small CMS, it allows the site owner to edit text and images on all pages without having to learn a much larger CMS which includes features they would never need.

The wesbite features:

• The main image on the homepage changes when rolling over the icons below. Each image can be specified in the CMS.
• The main image on each inner page fades through a selection of images uploaded through the CMS.
• The interactive page automatically displays the latest post from their Blogspot blog.
