The Brief …

To build a bespoke WordPress website to help keep the community of people involved with Shropgeek informed about news and meet ups.

The Solution …

Mostly publicized through twitter, Shropgeeks get together on the 1st Friday of every month at the Admiral Benbow in Shrewsbury. The evenings start at 7.30pm and are a great opportunity for people working in all industries to socialize with no pressure of networking.

The website needed to reflect the friendly nature of Shropgeek and show off Shropshire itself to highlight what makes Shropgeek different to other geekups.

The website was designed by me and built using the popular WordPress platform to allow easy content managability.

Features include:

• A fluid layout to expand no matter what the size of the screen it is being viewed on.
• Slideshow gallery in header area.
• Multiple author pages.
• Twitter feed to reflect discussions happening.
