some print work...
I also dabble in some design and print work from time to time.
Through my previous positions, I have gained experience in creating logos, brands, and corporate identities. I have also had adverts printed in trade and national press and I have worked on a variety of large scale print projects including clothing and musical instrument catalogues.
These days though, I mostly volounteer my skills to friends and family. Below are a few examples

Wedding Invitations
In August 2009 my brother will be getting married. As part of my wedding present to him and his fiance I have designed and printed their wedding invitations for them.
These invititations are a little different to normal. As both their, and most of their friends, music tastes are less 'mainstream' than you normally find at a wedding reception I have also incorporated an area for guests to choose three songs they would like to hear.
Business Cards
As well as redesigning my website, I am also doing a complete rebrand, this will include all stationary, emails etc. but for now here are my new business cards
Trek Peru for Cancer Research
In May 2007 my mum took part in the Trek Peru challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK. To be able to take part in this she needed to raise a minimum of £3000.
To help her achieve this goal I created a variety of promotional materials for her to give out throughout the community.
Scizzor Sisters Hair Salon
Scizzor Sisters needed a complete brand identity.
Because their premises are one of the oldest black and white buildings in Oswestry, Shropshire, they needed a style that suited the look of the building but was also modern. I designed and created the logo, pricelist, and sign for outside.
Cats Protection
In 2008 the Cats Protection Shelter in Wrexham celebrated its 10th Anniversary. To celebrate they held a fund raising birthday bash. I provided all of the promotional materials to advertise the event.
These included posters, postal invitations, advertisements for local press and a flash animation which featured on the main Cats Protection website
Cats Protection
As a regular volunteer at the shelter, I also provided promotional materials to advertise other fundraising events including, open days, cuddle a cat, photo competitions, quiz nights and more.
If you are familiar with me around the net you will recognise my avatar and know that I pop up all over the place!
I realised that I don't have one central area for all of my online profiles so this area is exactly that.
I am an active twitterer and through Twitter I hear about all sorts of tips, tutorials and blog posts, if I find them interesting I bookmark them to my Delicious account. Check out my tag cloud to find a subject of interest.
I have started to upload some of the photos I have taken to my flickr account now, and I am also on facebook.
Find me on facebookMusic is a huge part of my life. I listen to music at work, at home, in the car, pretty much anywhere I can. Recently I came across a new music player called Spotify.
Spotify is essentially an online music library which you create an account for. What I like about it is that because everything is stored online it means that you can access your playlists from any computer that has Spotify installed just by signing in.
The other thing I like about Spotify is you can share your playlists with other people, I am rubbish at creating my own playlists so I find websites like www.sharemyplaylists.com great. Here are some of my favourite playlists. Enjoy!
