Me and my '~ grin!'
I’m a web designer and developer based
in Shropshire.
Using a combination of XHTML, CSS, PHP, mySQL, Javascript, jQuery, a smatter of Actionscript and a whole bunch of other fun stuff, I build websites. And I love it!
Currently living in Shrewsbury, I provide the complete range of web design and development services. I have extensive experience of building bespoke websites of all sizes including large scale e-commerce, small scale lead-generation brochure sites, SEO, online marketing and everything in between.
A Bit of Background …
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away …
(ok, maybe it wasn’t that long ago but it seems like it now!)

Barnes and Mullins reception area displaying my corporate branding design.
I graduated from university in Swansea with a BA (hons) in Media Studies in 2000
incorporating film and art theory, advertising, marketing, television / video production and animation.
After graduating, I landed a position as a media/marketing assistant for Barnes and Mullins Ltd., a musical instrument wholesaler based in Oswestry, Shropshire. There I created targeted promotional materials, advertising for industry and national press (I have had adverts appear in publications including The Strad, Guitar Buyer and Guitarist), and designing / producing their regular 300 page product catalogue.
I also designed and built their website. This was essentially the first website I ever created and was a very steep learning curve. It was built using .asp and Microsoft Access (something I would never recommend now) and featured their entire catalogue of over 5000 products online. Although this site is no longer live I will always be proud of it.
Once I gained a taste for web development there was no going back …
Since my humble beginnings I’ve worked with a number of agencies throughout Shropshire in both a print and web capacity. My varied background gives me a unique perspective on, not just the best way to code your website, but how important the design and brand continuity is, how to optimize for search engines and how to market your website once live so that you continue to get the most from it.
As well as building websites, I am the editor of Imagine Shropshire, on online magazine for Shropshire. I’m also one of the organisers of Shropgeek, a monthly gathering of like-minded people from the IT and adjoining industries.
I’m regularly on Twitter (although I do have multiple personalities) so come and say hello!
